Let’s say that I need to hire a car from an airport in order to accumulate loyalty points.
And let’s say that I don’t need the actual hire car and would rather not use it.

Can I actually check in at the hire car office, get the car keys but leave the car in its bay for a week? Or move it to a different space but still within the hire car area? Would this incur any sort of airport parking costs?

Asking for me.

I'm sure the rental car firm wouldn't be too happy if you blocked one of their spaces for a while.

Easiest might be to drive around to the long stay car park at the airport, or some cheap city car park on an easy bus/train route.

What is the value of the loyalty points you will accumulate?
