Kid friendly Camper van sites - “the north”

My wife has loved the idea of having a camper van so like any husband I am going to rent one for Mother’s Day weekend and take her and the kids (4&2) away for the weekend but I am unsure where to go.

Anyone any recommendations for a nice site in the north? Thinking Lake District, North Yorkshire & Northumberland areas.

Also if anyone can recommend a Yorkshire hire company too that would be great!

Any Haven site will be a good start, we did one just north of Bridlington which was alright.

The 10th March weather wise probably wont be great to be camping.

Look at your budget to purchase and then look at what that gets you and rent something similar to get a size for feel / layout.

We went to Knaresborough and York

Would go south next time in the small chance of better weather
