Evening,

Looking for a holiday rental. Would like parking, a pool, decent cycling and dog friendly…

Sort of struggling to find anywhere, any suggestions?

TIA

Try a search around souillac , carsac - aillac and sarlat , there’s a nice cycle track all the way along the riverside linking all of them , sorry , I sold my place or you could have had it .

Are you looking for a campsite,Airbnb, gite, there is every type of accommodation available.

Do you want a typical Dordogne holiday of Sarlat,Rocamadour and a few chateaux visits or cycling the bits nobody really sees on holiday and drinking coffee in nondescript cafes with French pensioners?

And what time of year? July/August will be around 40 degrees, possibly too hot for the dog!

Found somewhere thanks all.

Agree we went in September last year and I was having to get up silly early to take the dog out, then suffered a bit on my bike in 37c.

Fortunately we had a fairly big old place so the dog was able to let off some steam inside during the day.

sorry, can't help but if you're cycling with a dog - get some video/pics please. I'm working my way up to doing this too and interested in how people handle it.

Good luck.

We used VRBO to find a place last year in August in Provence with the dog. Dog was fine, place was air conditioned, just made sure we went out early or late with her.

4 bedroom cottage in Val De Louyre Et Caudeau near Sainte Alvere.

Village has a few restaurants and a bakery by all accounts, which was missing last time. And property has a pool, which is a bonus.

Found through VRBO which seems pretty good, the main issue seemed to be the balance of facilities in the property, facilities in walking distance and being dog friendly, as a fair few state dog friendly with a 22lb weight limit on the hound..
