Hotel with Villa/connecting rooms suitable for 3 families

Our Family of 4, and 2 other families of 4 want to go away as a group next year (16 total, 8 adults, 8 kids, ages 1-8, so ideally need a 4/5 bed)

However we dont want a self catering villa, as we dont want to be cooking and cleaning like at home.

So is there such thing as a 4/5 bed on resort villa, or a hotel where you can get rooms together to cover this senario?

3 normal separate rooms have the issue of, when the kids need bed, we cant socialise as adults together

I know you say you don't want a "self catering" Villa, but have you really thought it through?

You can very easily get a Villa with daily maid service, so not really any cleaning needed.
You can definitely get a Villa with 2 bedrooms per family, 1 for the Adults, 1 for the Kids (not sure where the extra 2 adults come in (Grandparents, Nannies or 3-Ways are the options that occur to me), but there will be some arrangement that suits)
The above means that for breakfast, only 1 adult needs to be up and about - the kids can have cereal and play outside / in the pool until everyone else surfaces.
Cereal for the kids and coffee for the grown-ups is not really "cooking" in my opinion.
There are plenty of Villas in walking distance of villages / tavernas - Dinner at 6pm for everyone, back to the Villa, Kids wind down, bed, then a chilled few hours for everyone.
For me, having breakfast in the Villa without needing to get dressed sufficiently to appear in public, is a massive plus.
The most cleaning that will be required is wiping down the breakfast table and loading / unloading the dishwasher. In the right Villa you will even be able to find someone to do those jobs if it really is too much.
