Sounds like a good idea, but I somehow can't imagine the staff being as enthusiastic as those across the Atlantic.
It may have changed, but we had to laugh last time we went to EuroDisney in Paris. Having previously been fortunate enough to get to Disneyland Florida and experienced the way the US staff threw themselves into the roles (particularly in 'Terror Tower' for example) the staff in the French version stood around effectively smoking a fag, disinterestedly shrugging their shoulders and non-verbally saying "f

I guess it's going to take in the old gravel pits and sailing lake (haven't sailed there for about 15 years myself, do they still sail there?).
I ride past there quite often (MTB) and they definitely still sail there.Looks like the Universal plot is next door, the other side of the road.

I really wonder why the UK . We just don't have a suitable climate .
They only need
to go say 750 miles due
south of us to improve significantly.
That'd put them bang on top of two other huge parks in Port Aventura World and Ferrari Land. They said they chose the location as half the UK population are within 2 hours and huge tourism numbers can reach the area via train in 45 minutes from London and Luton airport prides a link to people just travelling to visit the park. Universal have previously shown interest in indoor parks. They only need

south of us to improve significantly.

which used to be owned by universal anyway? Spain does appear to be a better place for a euro-florida, paris thought was a strange choice for disney. But maybe the UK has a big film industry they think it's worth it....everything is spread out in europe though. u6dw4 said:

If anyone has been outside today in the UK , Universal Studios would be mad to build here . My sister in Andulicia just video called me and it's clear where they should build . Calm, suny, clear sky, 19 degrees at 4 pm .
they just accept it's seasonal (like Alton towers)? Florida has a critical mass of universal / disney, in europe no one location is enough to attract as a location by itself. Barcelona would be the obvious choice but universal (and disney) must have rejected it for a reason.
I went to DLP in winter (it was open all year, or at least was) empty but miserable, colder than the UK.
The UK has a big film industry (not mine, but i know people who work in this area) around herts/london area so they must think it's worth it.

Universal is full of Brits so universal are assuming Brits will come to this one, plus U.K. theme parks are a bit lacking. They only need
to go say 750 miles due
south of us to improve significantly.
Plus Brits like queues and they allocate lots of their money towards holidays and holiday type activities.
