I’m looking for flights to Tokyo next June and have come across a multitude of booking websites that I’ve never heard of.

For instance I can get Emirates return flights from Glasgow for £910 which is great deal from somewhere called Worldtourstore.co.uk

Direct from Emirates they are £934 which is still amazing and to be honest I’d feel safer booking directly.

Are these websites kosher and has anyone experience of using them?

I got caught out not being able to select my seat or checkin online after using a comparison site this year for a package deal, it’s made me a bit wary.

If you want to narrow the price gap, top cash back will give you 1.25% if you register with them, log in the, Go to emirates own page through them

Booking through a third party/travel agent, the booking is in their control. In other words, any irrops, you need to change your flights, whatever, the airline can't do much beyond a point - you have to deal with your company. Add in timezones, call centres, etc, can be a massive pain if it goes wrong. Caveat Emptor.

For 24 quid?! You’d have to be insane to not book direct.

Now, if it was half the price…completely different question.

Was going to say the same. I flew Barbados to Dubai with emirates, changing at JFK. We were delayed on the first leg, missing the second. The airport desk couldn’t change anything as it had been booked by a travel agent, who thankfully had a 24h helpline.

A bigger cost difference would warrant the hassle, but 24quid doesn’t.
