Hi, I would appreciate some advice on visiting central London on New Year's Day. I'm planning to drive in to drop my daughter off at Winter Wonderland Hyde Park, and then head off shopping.

I just wanted to confirm that on-street parking is free (on a meter bay or single yellow line) and there's no Congestion Charge?

Also, I might meet up at later at Winter Wonderland so would be looking to leave the car somewhere close, would it be easy to find a parking space around there?

Thanks, Dave

Correct, no CC between Christmas Day and New Years Day (inclusive). ULEZ charge still applies if not compliant. Free parking on paid bays and single yellows, residents bays only if you could on a Sunday normally.

There’s a massive q-park off Park Lane right under Hyde Park, expensive but convenient.

You won't be the only person with this idea and by mid-day there won't be any spaces left. Paid for car parks will be normal price - i.e. extortionate.
