Gatwick Parking
Discussion
Am off for a long weekend away in a months time and flying in/out of Gatwick.
Has anyone got any recommendations for parking ? We don't get back till 10pm in the evening and I can't really be arsed waiting around for a bus to some far off car park so am looking for meet and greet ? Or alternatively are there local hotels that offer parking and are walkable ?
Have tried the usual googling but I get the impression that a few local companies have the business stitched up and just dominate the search results no matter what 'parking comparison' site you go to.

We always book Valet Parking on the Gatwick website, it's so easy, you follow the signs to level 2 of the car park, give them your car key, they give you a card and you and walk straight into departures check in. When you land follow the signs to the office, give them your card, they give you your key and an exit ticket, tell you where your car is, you load and you're off. No more than ten minutes in or out. It's not cheap but worth every penny.

Agree with the above. Wouldn’t use anything else.BoomerPride said:
Got to the Gatwick main website and choose parking from there. Don't bother with third party websites.
This, the agro of Valet or other non "on site" providers just isn't worth it imho.Had a long weekend in Malaga recently.
On departure
5 mins to drop keys
15 mins to wait for the bus to depart
20 min slog to the South Terminal via the north
On return:
Bus outside as we walked down the 2 floors to get to it
It left before we got down the first floor
Wait for 20 mins for another to turn up
15 mins to get to the car park
5 mins to get the keys
The car park we used was no where near as accessible as the onsite car parks so you have to factor that in as well. At least another 10 mins driving.
Very much depends on when you book and the savings you could get. The nonsense above isn't worth the £20-£30 saving to me.

I agree with this, as said worth every Penny. Just make sure, when you book, you are on the OFFICIAL Gatwick site, so many others that look “official”.Never ever hand over your keys to a “meet and greet” guy standing outside the terminal.
