Hi guys,

taking the family away to Kolymbia between 29th Oct to 6 Nov - half term. I have got the itinerary together and obviously we are going to be hitting the beaches. Just hope its warm enough to swim for the kids.

We also have a Villa with an outdoor pool. Wonder if a temp of around 24/25/26 degrees is enough to heat it sufficiently? Normally we pull the kids out early but this time we could not as we were literally taking the mick with previous holidays.

Eitherway i will know in a few days!!!

We got back yesterday.

The sea is lovely and warm. We found the pool in the hotel on the cold side though.

Makes a massive difference what colour the pool tiles are though. The exit pool for the waterslides was a dark colour and the water was noticeably warmer than the main pool.

Great thanks. Good to know and glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for the pointer regards the pool.

Was out there this time last year.
Sea definitely warm enough to swim in but pools at hotel not so much.
T shirt and shorts fine during the day but needed a fleece in the evenings

Is there anything left of Rhodes? Thought it had been destroyed in an inferno last summer? biggrin

The sea will be plenty warm enough, September is often the warmest water in that part of the Med. I'd check the forecast though...water currents and direction can change from warm to chilly quite easily in poor weather.
