On Sunday I'm driving the family down to Switzerland from Calais. We're looking to stop off in Paris and show the young kids the sights for a few hours and grab some food.

Is it going to be easiest to park in the outskirts somewhere (maybe the airport) and then get the train in? Or just drive into the centre and find a car park somewhere (any suggestions)?

Lots of underground car parks in the city centre. Try googling Vinci ... well, just tried that and got fewer hots than I remember for Vinci. I wonder if they were forced to sell a load of them? Anyway, in my experience there are a lot of underground car parks.

I have parked in the Bois de Boulogne before (big park). Park as close to the Eiffel Tower as possible and either walk or get an Uber (sub 10 euros from memory). From the tower we did a walking tour to the Arc de triumph and then back to the park via an Uber.
