We are off to Tenerife next week for kids half term. All inclusive for 7 nights. They've just emailed me this evening to tell me the children's pool and slides are shut for building works ongoing while we are there, but there are facilities available at their sister hotel 800m away up a steep hill. I didn't envisage having to travel for the facilities every day, and they've said there'll be noise from the maintenance ongoing at our hotel.

I've contacted their call centre but didn't get beyond the advisor. He couldn't offer me an alternative hotel as there aren't any, I can't unfortunately move my holidays this close to the date and he couldn't offer me any discount, hire car or refund. The only thing I was offered were free meals on board the flight!

Anyone else found a way around their seemingly rigid "resolution" centre?

That sucks balls. Either the hotel haven't told Jet 2 or Jet 2 haven't told you this is a biggie for familes on holiday. You'd hotels have a planned maintainance schedule unless there's been some sort of catastrophic failure.

I guess it's what's in the T&C's unfortunately but I'd expect something better than some in flight vouchers.

Yeah it's a poxy offering given how much we've paid due to it being half term. You'd think they would see that it would be busy with kids at this time being a provider to a UK tour operator. They've said it's a minor disruption but it's a big deal for families who are spending limited time off away.

Try the customer service email and then escalate to social media

Twitter/x would be a good start as commerce doesnt like bad PR. Open a new account with vague ID if you dont want your mates to see you complaining online

Cheers
