Staying at The Pig hotel near Bath for two nights from tomorrow and planning to go into Bath to explore on both days.

Anyone know if it’s easy to park in Bath, or is the park and ride a better option.

Many thanks in advance…

Probably the best parking for the sites and city is Charlotte Street car park. Be aware Bath now charge different rates depending on your cars emissions. The meters have the ability to find this out on registration but the onus is on the owner to have the correct ticket so check before you buy. Diesels pay the highest tariff as do foreign registered vehicles.
Park and ride is next to the boathouse restaurant and hotel , 10 minute bus ride into the centre.

You can still park on street if you know where to look but P&R so easy and it removes the frustration of trying to find somewhere!

What - in addition to charging you a fee to drive into the CAZ, they charge you even more to park if you have a diesel etc?

No fee for the majority of petrol engined cars

Charlotte st is about a tenner for six hrs but almost full on the last two Saturdays by 11

Edit, sorry didn’t notice the variable tariff for parking.
