Paris bed bugs
Discussion
I was in Marseille a few weeks ago and got some pretty bad bites from the bed - this was a couple of weeks before tbe bed bug news.
Not sure there’s much you can do! Take some cream/spray they don’t like, check for bugs on arrival and try not to let any jump in/on your stuff.
Other than that, enjoy Paris!

Just got back from France (no sign of punaises thankfully)
Other advice I read
- don’t put your suitcase on the floor, use the racks or put on furniture
- don’t put your suitcase on the bed including packing to leave
- don’t put dirty clothes onto the floor, straight into your suitcase
+ keep your case/bags zipped up.Other advice I read

Wash all your clothes when you get home using a program over 50c and dry in the tumble dryer which should kill them off (according to something I read the other day).
You can also put your bags (and clothes) in the freezer overnight if you have the space, which will also do the trick.

Just to update - just returned from 3 days in central Paris, 3 star hotel, no issues at all. Sprayed a fair bit of jungle spray on and around at night but didn't see any evidence of bed bugs.
I'm more thinking pest control conspiracy at this point.
Hadn't been to Paris since before Covid, haven't followed the politics closely but got to say it's been cleaned up massively (inside the ring road). Super impressed, just one bit of slightly duff restaurant service (I speak French), but all very chilled and friendly. Yes really.
