X5, Euro 6 diesel.

Popped over yesterday for the rugby. Drove into the centre and out to the rugby.

Do we need (or should we have already) buy a little crit badge/sticker etc?

Thx

Yep, could be a fine of 135 Euros coming your way, or you didn't get caught on a camera.

Good luck.

If you’re in a UK registered car, you’re probably OK as they don’t have access to hte DVLA database, but you can buy one online and they email you a copy. It’s only a couple of euros.

Apologies for saying this with little evidence but aren’t they only required in Lille on days when there is a “pollution issue” ?

We were there in the summer and I realised I’d left it too late to buy the sticker but got happy it didn’t matter as (unless i was really unlucky) there wouldn’t be a “pollution limit day” when I was there (at which point a ULEZ type restriction would kick in and stickers needed) ?

In short, we visited about 8 weeks ago and I’ve not had a ticket or any notification. I drive a petrol (which I think is ULEZ6 compliant) so not sure if this makes a difference ?

It's a minefield.

I've been through montpellier this week, I thought I'd see big gangly cameras everywhere but only saw one suspect load on the A9 on the way out.

Cheekily montpellier has the A9 that runs along the bottom that's in the zone, a bit like Mr Khan doing the m25.

Don’t think there’s cameras until next year, so if you weren’t stopped by police you should be ok.

Get one from https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/ , it’s only a few euros and lasts the life of the car.

Thanks all but we are back!

Seems like it’s worth getting one before our next visit to Fr just in case….

Will wing it for now and see if we get ‘caught’ for last weekend.

Just order a crit-air sticker.

Its reasonably priced (couple of quid), it arrives fairly quickly, and there is a single unified system across France - so it covers you for any of the emission zone cities areas..

Germany is also equally joined up and reasonable in price, timing and universality applicability..

Just imagine if we had the foresight to just use a single emissions standard approach across our various LEZ/ULES zones, with a single scheme to categorise vehicles... just imagine..

Just seen you've already been! -

I'd get one anyway if you think you "may" go back in future - its little bother to get one
