where to go october sun holiday
Discussion
hi all
me and the oh are trying to book a holiday for end of october but really struggling , we have to go end of october as she works in a school, we have a max budget 3k but ideally looking 2k , been looking at canary islands as im thinking will still be the weather for sun bathing, but just cant decide , been 20 years since i been costa tegiuse, we usually go algarve self catering in a villa for our summer holidays , misses dosnt like flying so around 4 hours max fly time , we just want somewhere nice and chilled , nice beach and a few resteraunts for evening food , or even adults only all inclusive , we are in our 40s and our party days are long gone , just like a few drinks then im usually off to bed!, our kids are at uni , so this is our 1st year we dont have to worry about them!
any recomendations will be very appericiated

hi all thxs for replies , the oh wont do turkey , just so happens i was looking at fuerteventuta , the very 2 places you mention , just trying to decide between the 2 , any hotel or villa recomendations ?
found these
ROBINSON JANDIA PLAYA - Adults only
4.0 star property bit over budget but i could stretch to it if its as good as it looks
Apartamentos Garden & Sea Boutique Lodging by LIVVO looks nice but selfcatering
i like the look of marro jabble , but 85km from airport so probably need to hire car
or find somewhere in Caleta de Fuste so wont need car hire
just need to book something i think spent far to long trying to decide

I always book an apartment and get flights separately. A complex like Castillo Mar in Caleta. Much cheaper that way and you can eat out. I do 't use hotels so can't comment.
Jandia has beautiful beaches but apart from any hotel entertainment, there's not much there at all.
I have never stayed in Corralejo in any of my 20 odd visits to FV. Visited lots of times. It sprawls a lot, grotty in parts.
My favoured approach is to hire a car from Autoreisen or Payless (none of the nonsense you get with other hire companies, no buggering about with extra insurance, straight drop off) then you can visit places like Ajuy, Corralejo and the dunes, Morro Jable, Jandia, El Cotillo, Betancuria and Coffee if you're ambitious. Parking is free and reasonably easy in Caleta, the FV roads are beautifully surfaced and blissfully free of traffic. They have "improved" the roads with a motorway which cuts down travel times.
