We went to CV twice around 7 years ago and both islands were lovely. We went back this year to the Karamboa and boy has it changed!
It’s the new chav destination of choice and shigella is rife. I caught it, and it wasn’t pleasant. There are limited medical resources and flights to return home if you’re unwell.

Yh, have been on the FB pages since the last time I went. The reviews now are as mixed as they were in 2020. I spent more time at the bars either side of the hotel or in the sea so not too bothered about the pools. It's a shame it's been overrun with the chavs but that seems to be the same for most lower budget places now.
