Driving from Oslo to southern Norway - things to see

Planning to visit Oslo in December and need to some over 5 hours to the southernmost tip pretty much - past Kristiansand. How will the roads be in December and are there any recommended places to see / picturesque roads to take? There is an option to fly but would prefer to make it a nice road trip
