Thought I'd ask here, got a mate who is Polish, she's flying out to visit her parents on the 24th, she holds dual passport these days, her daughter however was born in the UK and only holds a UK passport.

She has discovered her daughters passport has more than 3 months left but less than 6 months left so she's in a real panic as she has read that to enter Poland you need more than 6 months, the GOV website says more than 3 months, but other sites suggest 6 months.

She's now booked an appointment at the passport office on 14th to try and get it fast tracked, but I think shes wasting time/money according to the Gov website.

is it 6 or 3 months?

As she's entering Poland it is whatever the Polish government says.

Gov.pl website suggests no minimum

"What is the minimum validity requirement for a travel document?
No required minimum validity of the travel document - the document must be valid for the entire period of stay"

Not necessarily, she's also at the mercy of whatever arbitrary rules the airline chooses to impose as a condition of travel.

Following as I'm going to Poland next month and my UK passport runs out at the end of Feb next year. I read the following on the UK gov website:

Passport validity requirements
To travel to Poland, you must follow the Schengen area passport requirements.

To enter Poland (and all Schengen countries) your passport must:

have a ‘date of issue’ less than 10 years before the date you arrive. Passports issued after 1 October 2018 are now valid for only 10 years, but for passports issued before 1 October 2018, extra months may have been added if you renewed a passport early
have an ‘expiry date’ at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave
