For the last 10 years I've done a weekend away with the lads in January - 9 of us and a mix of boarders and skiers.

We have, without fail, flown from Manchester to Munich then sourced a transfer to an Austrian Resort. We've always done this as the flight times were perfect - fly out Friday night getting to resort just after midnight and returning on a 10pm flight out of Munich after a full day on the slopes. So 4 full days skiing for 2 days leave. Over the years we've done Kitzbuhl, Mayrhofen, Saalbach, Gerlos and Kaltenbach.

Next year the return evening Munich flights have been scrapped in January, so we're looking at alternatives. Anybody got any good suggestions, perhaps some slightly leftfield ones we may not have already thought of. We need somewhere lively (we're all late 40s, early 50's) and with decent slopes as we're good intermediates and will do some decent distances, so resorts like Bansko are probably not our bag.

Cheers
