Car Rental in Cyprus- Larnaca Airport

This will be the first time I've driven abroad although I've been to Cyprus plenty.

Can anyone recommend who to go with or who to avoid based on the companies at Larnaca airport please? We'll be getting in late (shock) so it has to be somewhere at the airport.

We used Avis.

On site, decent car, no issues, no funny business trying to claim for damage

Paid with some Avios points too, if that’s your bag.

We went with Sixt back in 2019. Purchased the extra insurance - no problems at all.

We hired last year with Thrifty through a 3rd party and then regrated it when I read all the reviews of fake re claims for existing damage... As it happened the agent was very nice and she told us to take plenty of pics of the existing condition but she was the same person who booked the car back in and no issues. I'd bought an excess cover through an online broker (found on money saving expert for £10-£20) just in case as the excess is very high but fortunately didn't need it.
