We have done a few cruises but all from Southampton. We have been looking at some other cruises that are flying to the departure port.

What I am seeing is fairly limited luggage allowances for the flights but can’t see anywhere you can add additional allowances

Can anyone advise what the process looks like.

Thanks

We booked our Alaska trip through iglu and the flights were normal BA flights so had 1x23kg hold luggage, 1x23kg carry on plus your backpack or handbag (standard BA allowance).

Guessing you’re looking at booking direct with the cruise line?

Pretty much what you said. I don’t mind paying the extra but want to make sure. I will phone the Cruise company before we book.

We want to do two weeks over Christmas and New Year around the Canaries but on 23kg bag seems a bit close to what we would take, didn’t want to be washing clothes on the boat.
