DFDS 2024 from Newcastle
Discussion
Anyone know if/when DFDS release they 2024 calendar for sailings from Newcastle?
Although there are dates on the website when you select any they become unavailable and the service only runs until December 2023.
ETA: DFDS got back to me that it will be sometime in October, which doesn’t really help for planning.

To be honest what are you expecting to be any different? It’s one boat each way each day.
Except it isn't, the boats are different configurations. We're a family of 4 so like double bed with 2 bunks - which is only available on the King Seaways, I'm also trying to sort out flights for a work trip and the sooner I know what dates (because in January it isn't always a boat a day due to low season).onlynik said:

Yes we are in the same boat (pardon the pun!) - the website is really annoying as it lets you put the proposed dates in then tells you those crossings aren’t available.Although there are dates on the website when you select any they become unavailable and the service only runs until December 2023.

We live in the North East so it’s really handy - we’ve regularly used Eurotunnel and going down isn’t normally a problem but the return journey can be a pain.
Strangely Brittany Ferries have released their 2024 crossings so only Eurotunnel and DFDS left to release theirs. I contacted them like you and they said sometime either September or October which as you say doesn’t really help with planning.

I’m even further north . 4.5 hours to Newcastle, 8 ish to Hull. We live in the North East so it’s really handy - we’ve regularly used Eurotunnel and going down isn’t normally a problem but the return journey can be a pain.

I asked them a similar question about the Newhaven - Dieppe route and the reply was similar, sometime between Mid September and October.
Especially when P&O have next years routes up.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
