Walk up/pay on door venue in London to see live music?

Hi all, in London later this month and have a Saturday and Sunday night free and fancy seeing some live music.

Usually buy tickets for a bigger gig to coincide with my trips to the big smoke but don't have anything lined up, so wondering if there's anywhere you can walk into FOC or pay on the door that usually has good acts on?

Staying in the Fulham area but happy to travel, and thinking anywhere from a humble pub upwards.

Classical or jazz doesn't really do it for me, most other genres considered

You could check out the Windmill in Brixton.
It’s a flat roofed old estate pub but it’s quite famous as a venue for guitar led music and usually has cheap gigs on
