After what will be another frantic summer holiday running around after our children combined with a tricky year, I'm looking for somewhere I can book for my wife so she can just properly get away from it all and relax for a long weekend in September.

Think woodland / treehouse / somewhere she can just unwind and be on her own with a pile of books.

We're in Surrey so ideally not somewhere she has to spend too many hours getting to.

Any recommendations?

Come to Shropshire, its total bliss and plenty of options for getting away from everything!

Disregard the above, I didn’t realise you were bothered about a small drive..

Forest Holidays - Blackwood Forest, Hampshire

We went a few years ago in October, picked a cabin further out, and other than when we walked down to the main lodge I think I saw about 3 people over the few days we were there. Probably saw more deer biggrin. Hot tub and log fire, great way to unwind.
