science museum is free but recommend booking an entry time, same goes for Natural history museum
I've noticed some places have this on their websites but it's just a left over from Covid that they somehow just can't let go of.For example, we went to the London Docklands museum and their site says you should book a time (I don't know if it still does). I said I'd not booked a time and they could not have cared less.
Also, went to the national rail museum in York. It says outside you have to book a time on their app. We started doing that when an employee comes along and says there's no need to do that, you can just go straight in.
Both of those places are free admission.
I don't know if they still do it, but a few years ago, we bought a Day and Night ticket for The London Eye. So obviously you get a view in the day and another one when it's dark.
And the cost wasn't much more than a single ticket. Say it was £15 for a single ticket, the day and night ticket was say £20.

Still don't bother- unless you like crowds and queuing .
General.
Don't bother with travel cards. Use a contactless credit or debit card - different one for each adult - children under 11 go free - make sure you tap IN and OUT, otherwise the system will charge you the maximum fare. Fares are capped at a daily maximum.

Is this tips in general, or just the London Eye?
London Eye.
Don't bother. Go up The Shard for nothing.
General.
Don't make eye contact, or speak to anyone on TFL.
Wetherspoons pubs are good value food and drink.
Shard is closed and not free??London Eye.

Seems they don't do a day and night one anymore then.https://www.londoneye.com/tickets-and-prices/

I've been twice (day and night, and a normal one) and never had to queue, and the pods were never full. But that was some years ago as I say.
Thoroughly enjoyed Tower Bridge the last time we went. £12.30 for an adult ticket and I think we were there for about 45 minutes. Definitely a different view of the Thames from the walkways and the engine rooms were certainly worth a look at.

You can get 2 for 1 with national rail (I think). And I would recommend the science museum.
Can I purchase 2 in 1 after I have reached London by trainYou can get 2 for 1 on the majority of London attractions.
