Is breakfast worth pre booking or turning up on the day at premier inn.

Pre booking for continential breakfast is showing at £9.99 per pwrson.

It is London premier inn

Unless you checking out very very early and need a swift getaway I would suggest there are far better options than a premier inn for breakfast in central london?

It is more the price.

£9.99 seems cheap ish but I have no idea?

It isn't fine dining but it will set you up for a day.

Is it cheaper in nearby cafes?

£10 for some coffee and pastry is a bit steep don’t you think? Even if you’re going for the cooked breakfast they say it’s unlimited but does anyone ever have more than one plates worth?

There will be better options close by in London. so no it’s not worth it personally.

Surely that depends on what you buy from nearby cafes? confused

If you want an all-you-can-eat fried food binge and carbs fest then Premier Inn is fine. If you're happy with a couple of toast or an egg sandwich then the local cafe, Greggs or Maccys is probably going to be cheaper.

Depends how much you eat. Agreed it’s not fine dining but is decent and unlimited would set you up for the day. I went for an early morning long run on the Sunday and came back and had a lot of bacon, sausages, mushrooms, toast and coffee. Didn’t need to eat again until supper biggrin

Yeah I agree with it depends how much you eat etc. it’s a decent breakfast and unlimited so can be worthwhile. Not sure what a breakfast would cost in a local cafe in London but I’d imagine more than that.

Maybe tell us what you want? If you want tea and a bacon buttie the cafe will (probably) be cheaper. If you want a decaf latte, a large orange juice, cereal, french pastries, 2 kippers with poached eggs, then a full fry up with toast on the side... I think you can see where this is going.

Why bother? For the sake of a couple of quid (maybe) just get the Premier Inn breakfast and have done with it. Saves time messing around looking for a cafe and £9.99 is about right for a decent cooked breakfast anyway.

I often go for the Premier Inn breakfast, get stuck in & treat is as brunch. I grab a couple of pieces of fruit to have later, then don’t eat agin until dinner.

The Premier Inn Continental breakfast is fine and well worth the money.........(imo)

Not worth faffing about to save a couple of quid.

I think their breakfast is a good deal, also I find it difficult to believe that you can get a coffee and a couple of pastries for £9 in central London from a cafe.

Perhaps decide on the day whether to buy the breakfasts. There often isn't a discount for pre-booking.

As others have said, even a coffee and muffin in Starbucks is only going to save you 2 or 3 quid. So it is only worth eating elsewhere it you want a better quality meal than the stale croissants at the hotel buffet.

Also it is worth being able to just say 'see you at breakfast' to other members of the group who might take longer to get ready....

I'd rather have breakfast at a Premier Inn than face a Starbucks coffee!

All this fuss over £9.99, in London!

PI breakfast is definitely worth it if you have kids with you as they eat for free.

I have them, as mentioned above you can get a good start to the day, it's unlimited food and drinks, juices, coffee, tea etc. I think it's good for the money. A bit OT but even better when you have children as under 16's eat free with a paying adult. Saved me money on many trips with my two boys.
