I’ve 3 days in Miami 21-24 September. (Thursday and the Sunday are travel days - so rounded down to 3 days/2 nights to do stuff) Staying on South Beach, in one of the Art Deco hotels.

Other than the beach/boardwalk - what is a must do in Miami ? (Coke and hookers excluded !! smile

Tourist bus, hop on - hop off style. very informative, I found
My colleague and I asked if we could get off at a certain stop and walk through to another stop on the route. The answer was a distinct "no - too dangerous in those blocks!"

Little Havana - men playing dominoes at break neck speed, street art, decent cafés

Lock and Load Miami, go fire some machine guns.

I found the easiest way to get around while we were there was Uber.

Rent a bike and cycle around the south beach area and over the bridges. That part of Miami is surprisingly bike friendly!

Cheers - thumbup Uber/Lyft until I collect my truck/pickup ... wink

Shooting

Not a fan of the "guided/experience" shooting - off to Stone Harts Range on the Sunday for a few hrs.

Also I'll be in Pennsylvania week after - and shoot on a friends land/goto the Easton Gun Range (full Auto if you desire) to get my fix/see if I'm still a terrible shot ...... shoot

HeadShots @ 20 yds/15metres ish - Pistol 9mm - February this year.

Sounds a good idea - did a bike tour in SF last year - which was a good way of seeing stuff.

It goes without saying that Miami is a lot flatter, even when it’s warm it’s a pleasant way to get around without too much effort.

I liked the bit of time I had strolling around Wynwood in January.

Big regret was not making time in the schedule to go to Kennedy Space Centre as suggested above. If I'm back there next year, I will not be making the same mistake!

Apologies - work keeps getting in the way ... wink

djc206 - thankfully the bikes in SF were the electric assist bikes - did the Bay, over the Bridge, and onto Sausalito, catching a ferry back. Fantastic way to see the sights.

psychoR1 - torn between a JetSki tour, and the thunder Speedboat tour (currently leaning more towards the Jetski)

TheHoof - we did Orlando about 9 years ago - didn't do Kennedy Space as that trip was all about Universal/Harry Potter for my daughter. Previous trip was 42 years ago ..... watched the 2nd Shuttle launch go up - stood on top of a truck as the whole freeway had come to a halt to watch it as we were leaving DisneyWorld (that long ago Epcot was being built/it was the 10th Anniversary Year of Disney World) ....

This is a solo trip so can plan what I want within reason.

Went there many years ago, was good fun.

We had pre booked a Dolphins game which was good, but a little slow. Expect the food/drink inside would be expensive at a similar game/sport.

We took a taxi and did an air boat ride!
