Does anyone have any experience of reputable/reliable taxi firms for a transfer from Lisbon Airport to Cascais? Or, am I just as well getting a taxi/Uber from the airport when I arrive?

I appreciate there’s a train that runs between the two, but I’d prefer to take the fast (lazy) way on this one wink

Thanks.

I used the company below in November last year when I stayed in central Lisbon - they were spot on!

Done that journey a few times and used Uber (even at 2am Lis-Cas and it was about €25) BUT they will avoid the toll road, unless you tell them you will pay the extra.

As you probably know… traffic at peak times is a nightmare, so add time accordingly.

The other option is the train from Cascais to Cais do Sodré (end of the line) then Uber from there to the airport, cheaper if you are on your own, but 4 train fares is probably the Uber cost from Cascais…

Avoid!!!!!!!!!!

They subcontract to local firms

We had a terrible experience recently in the US

Our flight arrived 15 mins early and we could not have got through immigration and baggage reclaim any faster yet the driver insisted on a cash surcharge before he would let us in the car. And then took us to the wrong hotel

Suntransfers fobbed off my complain and so I have lodged a dispute with my credit card

Annoyingly a regular airport cab would have been cheaper from the taxi stand

Have a good holiday!

Did business in Lisbon years ago and just hailed a cab outside to get to the hotel.

Thanks all - much appreciated.

Looks like it will be a case of just getting a taxi when we arrive or using maniac886's suggestion. The train is out of the question as we'll have been up all night wink

Thanks again!

I had no issues with Uber to/from LIS - very cost effective.

Just to update this thread. I did end up using Maniac866's suggestion above and it worked absolutely perfectly, so thanks for that.

I only booked the budget options as there was only 2 of us but got a pleasant surprise upon arrival at Lisbon airport with a nearly new BMW 5 Series for the journey to Cascais and a Mercedes C Class estate for the journey back. i expected a Renault Megane or something.

I did also use the trains a few times between Lisbon & Cascais and they were excellent. Cheap tickets, clean & on schedule to the second.

I use these guys loads as well due to low price and reliability and have never had a issue, mainly for places like N Africa, Turkey, Middle East.
Yes they do subcontract but like old Merc, no issues at all.
Used them a couple of weeks ago and the guy waited 2 hours due to plane delay.

However as they do subcontract I guess it's never going to be 100% perfect and issues can occur as with any operator.
