Evening all,

We're off to Lake Annecy in a couple of weeks.
Getting off the tunnel at 2pm and could do with a lunch stop near Calais before driving to our stop over in Troyes for the night (Troyes meal suggestions also welcome!!)

Also any must do things when in and around Annecy?
Well be camping by the lake at camping Le Lac Bleu (as per suggestions I read in the forum a while ago)

Thanks in advance
Matt

We are doing near Troyes on the way back on our trip. Hotel in the national park near there. Also lunch spin Annecy on way down.

We're unsure of route back as only currently booked a few days in Annecy may stay a bit longer, may head to Beaune and then Bruges, Ghent or Le Touquet, or Paris and then Le Touquet or Germany and Bruges (will make it up as we go along 😎

Cote d'argent is good for seafood and a view of the sea, it might not have lunch reservations at that time though. Le Channel is good too.

St Omer, park up in the square..

Le 1900 or La Brasserie Audomaroise (next door to each other), have a look at the 'formula menu' of the day..

However they might not do food service at that time.. if weekday..

La BF on the square is service non stop.. La Charette is pretty decent too..if open

Personally id move the tunnel forwards and arrive there at 13.00!! to have the selection.

I can recommend Au Côte d'Argent (1 Digue Gaston Berthe, 62100 Calais) about 10 minutes from the Eurotunnel terminal, opposite the beach

Edited: agreeing with the earlier recommendation

Really lovely. Had a great unpretentious meal there.

The French tend to eat lunch early, we've been caught out many times.

At that time I'd either have a sandwich on the tunnel then nail it down to Troyes, (time to wandering around the town early evening). Or a picnic at one of the Aires, unmanned not service station.

As others have mentioned, you'll be a bit late for lunch. However, on the way home I'd strongly recommend popping in to Le Touquet especially if you'll be there for the market on Thursday and Saturday mornings. We usually have lunch or dinner at the Restaurant Le Paris.
