Short Break Hotel Help

Looking for inspiration, planning a road trip down South, stopovers between attending Goodwood FOS.

Sorted with self catering at Goodwood and 4 nights in York self catering on way home.

On way down plan is to stop for for 3 nights, travelling* from north Scotland, no issue on travel distance on first day.

Be within 4 hour travelling distance to Goodwood (can be closer)
Nice hotel but not excessive pricing or stuffy (nice country pub with rooms also an option]
Good food at hotel and bar to chill
In an area for a bit of walking

Have a look at the George & Falcon in Warnford. Can highly recommend for a pub with great food & rooms. Might just be a little too close to Goodwood for you though (it’s where we’ve stayed the night before the FOS).
