Just booked expensive cruise with one of the luxury cruise lines, paid for online, paid for seats on KLM website all with no problem.

Online checking with cruise company, reserved restaurants for the cruise, passenger details passport number etc dietary requirements suite configuration etc all done, easy.

Last question, are you inoculated, yes fully, scan in the QR code as proof, oh dear that is when it all went wrong. NHS Scotland I can see the four jags I have had and the dates, no option to print it out, check on the aeroplane logo to get international travel documents, no that does not work either. Tried the phone number, no longer available.

So an expensive holiday is dependent on an App from a third party NHS scotland, I feel like I am going onto a Ryanair flight, you are never really sure you will be allowed on until you get past the gate because you failed to cross a T or dot an i somewhere

I know my way around apps but agree they can be extremely frustrating.

A couple of years ago I had great fun trying to sort my wife’s covid pass. In the NHS it was in her maiden and professional name. But that’s not the surname on her passport. A human would have no problem with that information, an App is a different story.

In the end I sorted it by getting her an EU digital certificate and using that.

I’d just get a refund and do something else.

Not sure which cruise line you are with but we recently booked a cruise with Royal Caribbean. Their web site and booking confirmation information is confusing and ambiguous so I emailed them directly seeking clarification and this was their reply (though it may just be their own policy rather than governments' policies):

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your email regarding our boarding requirements.

We are looking forward to having you onboard! Please be advised that COVID-19 Vaccination is no longer required to sail, with the exceptions of Guests age 12 and older on cruises from Australia, cruises from Hawaii to Vancouver, Transpacific and Transatlantic Sailings.

Make sure to visit your Cruise Planner to check out the drink packages, spa treatments and all the other great add-ons we offer!

Warm regards,

Nope, after driving MB for thirty years I decided next car would not need Star diagnostics or MB technician at £120 ph to repair.

Bought Skoda Octavia estate 4x4, VW based, it has all the toys my Merc had and more, well pleased with it.

So forum name could be binned, just cannot be bothered smile

It is possible to work out the number. I kept a note of ours in a phone note just in case. I am pretty sure the website will have a support email to assist in any case.
