Petrol availability in France
Discussion
Help wanted please. I've a touring holiday planned for June 2023 along the Spanish Pyrenees and then up the West coast of France to Northern Brittany and on to Cherbourg. With the current unrest over the French pension reforms and associated refinery blockades, I am concerned that there might be some issues getting petrol in France. It would be very helpful to me, and possibly to others on here, if any PistonHeads based in France could provide information on the fuel situation from local knowledge through the next few months. Thank you in advance to all that can assist.
Having worked in France for the first quarter of the year and had a local oil depot blockaded by strikers
- it’s never been an issue for more than a day
- the dates are well known in advance and the locations are anticipated on local news outlets
Unless you are planning to fill up more than once on a pre-announced general strike day I really wouldn’t worry
