calling for discounts - Tui
Discussion
In my experience, you can’t match the online price in a TUI shop.
I tried this a while back and they wanted £100 more for the same holiday as the online one.
I said I’d purchase online then and they tried to tell me that they charge more in the shop because you get the additional service of a person you can come and speak to and due to the additional overhead it costs more.
The best discounts seem to be through the app or with one of the voucher codes you get when you come back from holiday that the cabin crew hand out.
Although I’d love to know if anyone has found a way to get a discount as I’d like to know it too!

Does anyone know from experience of prices fluctuate up and down over a few weeks. I am looking to book for October and it was a certain price 3 days ago and it’s now 300 pounds more which is frustrating. I’m wondering if next week there is a chance it may go down or if it’s just an upwards trajectory!

I could well be wrong, but I think they use an algorithm that monitors how many times a holiday has been viewed. The more times/bookings up goes the price.
I've heard it's the same/very similar to the online flight shops like Skyscanner.
That sounds spot on. On Sunday when I was looking it said 10 people were viewing. Then today it said 25 people viewing. With any luck I’ll check Saturday and it will say no one is looking and I’ll get 20% off I've heard it's the same/very similar to the online flight shops like Skyscanner.
Lol one can hope

Yes there are discounts in the shop but I wouldn’t be approaching it that way. Go in as a new customer see what they can offer.
Thank you for the tip. They have a physical premises local to me so I will pop in and see what they can do. Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
