Hi, planning on a few days in Bruges next month and was wondering what the current situation regarding border control is like?
I have heard it can ages to get processed.

If it’s going to be a lot of hassle, I will leave it for the time being.

My mum has been there this week (left last Monday), didn't mention anything bad about border etc, sounds OK

I used it twice last month, in typical PH fashion I was travelling business class & on a Euro passport, plus I was on crutches so thanks to the very nice staff Security & passports took 5 mins.
The queues going via standard looked very busy (but so were the trains, I understand they cut some of the Belgian services) , and even biz class were taking their time.
Coming back was the same, although on the first trip the French went on strike & I had to fly back.

Not much help to your original query, but In summary if possible be European, on crutches and get someone else to pay for your travel.
