I’ve provisionally booked a week’s stay in Copenhagen at the end of May for me and my nephew. I’ve been a few times before, he’s never been.

Already on my list is Ordupgaard to see a load of Hammershoi, SMK, Kastellet, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and the Danish Design Museum. It’s a few years since I was last there as my travel’s been very restricted following my motorbike accident in 2017, but I’m happy enough with navigating around the city as well as to/from the airport and I’m planning on a couple of Copenhagen cards to save on entry fees.

Anywhere else we should think of, as well as any bar/restaurant recommendations? I doubt we’ll be able to get a reservation at Noma, especially as it’s closing after this summer!

There's a restaurant called Kod (Kod is Danish for meat)

Excellent steakhouse, recommended

Just back from Copenhagen last week.

We had a group of nine so finding one restaurant that worked for everyone was tough. We got food from Torvehallerne market a couple of times. It is a market type set up with good food from Sushi to tacos. We jumped on a train and spent a morning in Frederiksborg Castle which was more impressive than we expected.

Warpigs is fantastic, the beer and meat are spot on.

Getting the train to Malmo is an interesting ride.

Cheers for the additional eatungbsuggestions, which all look right up my street.

Won’t be bothering with the train to Malmo, I’ve ridden over the bridge in both directions on my motorbike!

I did that too, excellent. Shortly afterwards we went to the Tivoli gardens which was very nice. But the Danes seem hideously officious (possibly small country syndrome). I was severely told off for appearing to take a nap on a bench, which in fact I wasn’t, although I have always struggled to explain my horizontal posture.
