Hi,

I have been tasked with organising the above for Jan/Feb 2024.

Any recommendations of companies to speak too? Looking online it appears we may be to early to book currently...

It will be for about 10 people and ideally 4 nights due to annual leave etc. However if 7 nights gives us more options we are open to that.

We have all been skiing a few times but it has always been through school/uni etc. so quite new to it all!

Ideally, it would be about £1-1.2k each all in give or take for flights/accom/lift passes.

Thanks

I’d start by not mentioning to anybody it’s a stag do, or you’ll struggle for accommodation.

I’d think about a hotel, unless you are pretty confident one of the party won’t damage a chalet that you as coordinator might end up liable for, or at least split the damages deposit between you all in advance etc.

We are all aged between 29 - 32 so won't be trashing the place. Its more of just a holiday to be honest as we don't fancy going to Benidorm or similar...

Of course we won't make it explicit when booking as when we have used Air BnB in the past for Ibiza, LA etc. and travelled as a group and never had any issues with getting the full deposit back etc.

I went as a group of 20 to St Anton on a stag do many years ago - we used Crystal ski from memory. We had a chalet to ourselves - it was fairly basic but exactly what was needed, though the included white wine was undrinkable - the beer and red wine were fine...

4 nights is about right and it doesn't sound like you'll be doing too many silly things - we were mid 20's when we went, and we went for a week which was far too long. After 4 days we had to say the stag do was over and just get back to a skiing holiday!

It's a good resort for a stag do, but to check - are you all ok skiiers? We had a few beginners in our group who struggled for the first half of the week as some of the blue runs etc are quite narrow, all fine once had a bit of confidence.

Enjoy!

I would organise this yourself .... i.e. flights, accomodation. There are a lot of places that want week long bookings rather than 4 nights but it can be done.

Have a look on booking.com to see what is available ... avoiding half term if you want to get better value and less kids. Lots of the hotels and chalets use booking.com ... since covid, many of the tour operators pulled out of St Anton as well as other towns. Depending on where you're based ik the UK, get flights to Innsbruck (1 hour transfer to St Anton and is 300 - 400 euro ... you'd need a couple of taxis if 10) or Zurich (train is 2.5 hours and leaves the main station and goes all the way to St Anton without changes). Accomodation is good quality, always very clean ... plenty of places offer half board but choice of restaurants is very good (you need to be organised and book with a party of 10).

You can buy lift passes on line now .... get everyone to register on the skiarlberg.at site and the passes can be ready when you arrive at a pick up point. Ski hire can also be pre-booked via skiset.
