Havana Cuba hotel recommendations

Going to Cuba in May and whilst we have a resort hotel booked, we would like to spend a couple of nights on the town in Havana. Any recommendations for central hotels and must things to do??? Thank you in advance for your replies.

loads and loads to do in Havana have a good read up but if your only there a day or so my suggestions

the revolution museam is really instresting and still has the bullet holes in the wall from when it was overthrown

There was a thread about Cuba recently. We have stayed here https://www.kempinski.com/en/gran-hotel-kempinski-... It was nice enough to use as a base for Havana.
