I need to travel from St Pancras station to Tooting tomorrow during the tube strike.

As far as I can see the best available route is Thameslink to Tooting station.

My train from Sheffield will arrive at the EMR platforms on the top level of St P. The Thameslink trains depart from the bottom level.

I've googled the transfer but I'm hoping someone who knows the station could advise on the quickest way of getting between platforms. There seems to be some mention that the escalators are out of service.

Between five and ten minutes will cover it. Some escalators are being worked on around the station, but as most links have multiple escalators, you generally still have step free access.

Get off the train, through the ticket barriers, escalators right in front of you, lifts further along if needed, Thameslink is behind you as you come to bottom of the escalators, another set of ticket barriers then down some stairs\escalator.

No more than 10 minutes platform to platform
