Easter Holiday with 6 year old
Discussion
Hi Folks,
As per the title my wife and I are fed up of the gloom here just now and have been looking into getting away for a week in easter with our 6 year old daughter. As we are in Aberdeen ideally it would be flying from Edinburgh or Glasgow and looking for something with not a massive flight time that won't cost the earth (difficult these days), looking at JET2 hols the options seem to be
- Majorca
- Algarve
- Lanzarote
- Tenerife
We were ideally looking at the option of going to a water park but the temps are borderline and suggest this might be a no go so early on? Is there anywhere else folk would recommend that has stuff for a 6 year old to keep her entertained and ideally flying from Scotland? The leading option so far is the Algarve but open to suggestions and any experience of the above folk have in early April would be good.
Cheers

We always go to the south of france at easter and do a eurocamp. The temperature is usually low to mid 20's and in 10 years or so of doing them only had one bad week.
The big advantage of the south of france and eurocamp is the fact they all have some form of water park and more importantly the pools are heated so no issue using them. they also have loads of other activities for the kids.
We drive but there are loads not far from Perpignan and Beziers airports.

Antalya?
A lot of big resorts that are all inclusive, quite a few of them have decent pools for kids with slides etc and there's also a couple water parks within walking distance depending on where you stay.
Most of them back out onto their own beach and have really good kids clubs with cinemas and arcades etc.
You can also spend a day at Land of Legends theme park.
Temp should be around 20.

Do make sure if going to turkey you check your hotel has heated pools, a lot don't, and I would imagine would be a bit chilly.
Also beware the russians, at work out of our office - 20 people, 3 of us went to turkey in august, and we all said never again due to the russians (not sure if its the case but last year turkey was one of the only holiday destinations accepting russian money).
