£4k to £6k to spend

warmth, beach and luxury.

Can't seem to have all three for our budget.

does anyone have any genuis ideas? We've mostly been looking Spain and Portugal, but thinking maybe Turkey or Sri Lanka.

We are taking our 11yr old daughter and 6yr old son- both very active! Mrs P and i would love some rest.....

Luke.

The Day Inn Ah Nang, Thailand, cheap clean family friendly, right on the beach, you can sit at your breakfast table and watch the kids on the beach. It is the only hotel on Ah Nang on the beach side of the road, they will arrange all the trips you want.
Took my kids there at least once a year until they were around 16.
Just need B and B you can walk any where for donner.

I also recommend Thailand but some times in the year are very hot or can be very wet.
Neither are a massive problem but you need to be aware.

Morocco, Specifically Agadir, warm, has a nice beach, and some lovely hotels, been 3 times and stayed at the RIU Tikida Dunas each time.

Think it depends on your idea of luxury, I wouldnt have said that 6k for 4 people is an overly luxurious budget.

Direct flights to Thailand in school holidays are going to be the best part of 4k on their own!

In that budget you are looking at short haul flights. Spain or Portugal would be my choice. Keep the flight costs down and use what's left for the accommodation.

Golden Sands, Mablethorpe.

May be a bit short on the luxury element, but loads of stuff to suit the kids.

Definitely short haul with that budget.

One thought - Canaries are typically cheaper than the Med destinations. Especially in Summer.

Maybe see what you can get in (e.g.) Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, although scope out the hotel location before you book - according to the travel agents, PB stretches from Montana Roja in the west to the dunes in the east, neither of which is walkable to the town itself (OK, the dunes are if you're happy to put in >30 minutes walk each way)
