The Day Inn Ah Nang, Thailand, cheap clean family friendly, right on the beach, you can sit at your breakfast table and watch the kids on the beach. It is the only hotel on Ah Nang on the beach side of the road, they will arrange all the trips you want.
Took my kids there at least once a year until they were around 16.
Just need B and B you can walk any where for donner.

In that budget you are looking at short haul flights. Spain or Portugal would be my choice. Keep the flight costs down and use what's left for the accommodation.warmth, beach and luxury.

May be a bit short on the luxury element, but loads of stuff to suit the kids.

Definitely short haul with that budget. One thought - Canaries are typically cheaper than the Med destinations. Especially in Summer.
Maybe see what you can get in (e.g.) Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, although scope out the hotel location before you book - according to the travel agents, PB stretches from Montana Roja in the west to the dunes in the east, neither of which is walkable to the town itself (OK, the dunes are if you're happy to put in >30 minutes walk each way)
