Can anyone recommend a dive operator in Hurghada please for a week's pleasure diving. Already got the paperwork, this will just be diving for fun, to see the wildlife and maybe a wreck or 2.

Do you have a hotel booked yet? My recommendation would be Breakers at Soma Bay and diving with Orca Divers. A really good hotel which is very different to the normal all inclusive offerings around Hurghada. There is a good house reef and lots of options for zodiac and day boat diving. Although too far away if you are staying in Hurghada

You could try Steve at DiveUKHurghada, he runs a small set up, doing personalised trips for people, also can arrange accommodation in Hurghada or Makadi Bay.

James & Mac Dive Centre always seem to get good reviews, although I have never dived with them. Voodoo Divers seem good, I have a friend who is a guide there, although they mainly target the Dutch market. It is also worth seeing if your hotel has a diver centre as that often makes the dive arrangements a bit easier.

i have a friend who uses Orca when diving in that area - seems happy enough to repeat book with them
