I've done a search but the threads on the usual suspects, Ikos, Sani seemed a little old, and they've both added numerous sites since I understand.

Are these still the de facto choice with young kids if you want a high end type experience?

Looking ideally for 7-10 days in late June
decent food
no mega long transfers/flights (Sani at probably upper end of flight/transfer)
Apartment of some kind with garden
Kids club/creche/babysitting service so can go for dinner

I've priced them up, most of the Ikos/Sani options seem to be 7-10k for the above, but the universe of luxury hotels is vast now, so wondered if anyone had any positive reviews of the above or which resort, or whether there is something else I should also be considering?

Sani is great..! Don’t fly on a Friday/Saturday the traffic into Kassandra peninsula is a nightmare.

Also look at a cruise. (MSC yacht club), we are booked in in July ‘round the med for 11 nights with the kids. It’s surprising the value for money.

Perhaps even (as we now do in school holidays) a eurocamp, the little ones love em, and some of the chalets/mobile homes are surprisingly brilliant, and we get do do a big road trip which my kids love with the overnight hotel stays, and random French/German village stop offs for lunch/dinner/snacks etc..

Enjoy the time with your family thumbup

It depends on your definition of high end, but Mark Warner worked for us when our kids were young. The resort on Kos was ideal.

Some friends stayed at the Spanish Ikos last year and were very impressed they booked for this year shortly after returning. We are going with them. I asked a similar question on here and after we'd booked I received a message from a PHer in the travel business who said Ikos were a very good outfit and he'd not had any clients who didn't rate it/their other resorts.

We did exactly the same when our kids were young and had some great holidays

We've been going to Ikos for the last few years since 2019 when our daughter was 3. Had a couple of years off during Covid. Found it really good for keeping her entertained and us relaxed with zero hassle.

Always have a good holiday but I think I want to do something a bit more active next time.

Went with Porto Sani in the end, looks pleasant. Think when older will try some of the Ikos spots as they're located in places of interest, Mallorca one looks lovely, and there's stuff beyond the resort.

We went to "flammbodrum" (Turkey), and stayed in one of these traditional single cottages(sea-side suits), literally in front of sea. Top place, absolutely good food, service and super-easy transfer from Airport. Loads of direct flights from London. I love Greece but some places in Bodrum has top service really, though it is getting expensive.

You've made the right choice.

We send thousands to Ikos/Sani resorts every year and as someone inside the industry in the same situation as you (toddler in tow) they're the only places we'd consider.Yes, we do have plenty plenty of people who return, love it and then say 'is there anything else that compares?' and the honest answer is always, no.

If you want peace of mind that everyone involved is going to have a good break, Ikos and Sani are the answer.

Have a good time.

That’s good to hear.

Slightly annoyed I booked through BA now as I’ve since learned they have a loyalty scheme which likely would have saved more cash if we ever went again.

A311 - not that bad - £7.5k for 2 adults and a 2 y/o, 1 bed apartment thing for a week. Though in school holidays it would have been over 10 I should think..

We stayed at the Ikos Andalucía last May in a 2 bed pool villa. Transfer was included and I think less than an hour in a minibus with child seats available.

Overall very impressed with the hotel. Our daughter was <1 when we went so dinner times were a bit problematic as we were sleep training at the time. That said, room service is all included and there was some good choice. Alternatively the buffet restaurant was open early and packed with families fueling their toddlers!

Another nice touch was the courtesy Tesla for a day - we drove up to Ronda and had a nice day away from the hotel.

I’d definitely go back in future and would whole heartedly recommend. If you’re after a more activity holiday with toddlers I can also recommend Feuerstein in South Tyrol - really cool place for kids and adults

The repeat rate they only give you off of 'Best Available Rate' anyway - BA still likely to be cheaper.

You can transfer between all the Sani resorts anyway, they provide a shuttle which was helpful as I was at Sani Club last year.

Drop me an email with your booking details, last name, dates etc and I'll see if they'll do anything to take care of you in resort. Can't promise anything as our Sales & Ops Director is paying full rate for her wedding there but always worth a try.

I looked for a fortnight in August for the Andalusia resort and it was between 5.5 and 7.5k per person.

School holidays innit. Would be same here but don't need to worry about that with a toddler.

Thanks Gilmore, i'll Pm you smile
