Decent hotel - Notting Hill ish...

Working round there on and off for a while, I've used the doubletree hilton hyde park a few times now, but for the money it's awful. Any recommendations, just after a comfortable, clean place, where everything actually works i.e. sink, air com, heating, which Hilton seem to struggle with ! Don't even mind a good B&B etc...

Anywhere Notting HIll, Hyde Park, Kensington could work.

Bit farther east but the Z hotel on Gloucester Place is good value for the room size - clean and relatively new with some character.
