Micro euro road trip

Headed over to a place near Bruges in early April with my girlfriend. The impetus for the trip is to have the exhaust on my Cayman worked on (a bit of a long way, granted but the guy is highly recommended!)… our plan is to head over early doors on Friday morning and be out of the exhaust place at 1pm - hopefully with a much improved soundtrack!

The place is near Bruges, so our rough idea was spend the day and Fri night in Bruges then head over to Antwerp for a night on Saturday and back to the Eurotunnel for Sunday afternoon.

We’re not set on Bruges and Antwerp so just wanted to see if anywhere else that’s worth a visit with this timeframe in mind. Spent some time in Ghent and Lille on a similar trip last year and they were both great.

Bruges is very nice!
We stayed there last year for 2 nights.
One thing we really enjoyed was the half hour boat trip you can do!

I absolutely love Leuven just outside Brussels, the Oude Markt is pretty much wall to wall bars and the whole town is really nice without being as busy as Bruges or Brussels.

Its also home to the original Stella brewery!
