So being the country bumkin that I am, the bear family are off on a great adventure, and flying out of Heathrow 7:30 in the morning.

I need to drive to Heathrow. Do I :-
a) Accept the fact I have to leave the house at 02:30 for a few hours down the M4, and park in some god forsaken car park at 4:30 in the morning to catch a bus to the airport?
b) Pay a fortune to park in Heathrow,
c) Get a hotel and then drive to the parking first thing in the morning,
d) See if I can find a hotel where I can leave the car for a week, and catch a taxi to the airport.
e) Something else I have not thought of.

I have a budget of £200 or so for the night, so that should give some options that are not 'sleep on a park bench'

What's the recommendations from those people who dominate the stairs, are adept with frozen sausages, and drive a remapped 335?

Thanks in advance.

Stay in a hotel that does parking and shuttle to the airport. Failing that, pod parking. It will make you smile

Got any recommendations? The world is awash with too much information.

If you're heading for T5 the Thistle is, well, OK, and normally competitively priced, and you get to use the pods to get to the terminal. The Sofitel is very nice and is connected to the terminal but ££££,

A workmate had a theory that the long stay car park for T3 is generally cheaper than the T5 one, and easy to get to T5 from. Something about being next door to the T5 business car park but I can't vouch for that, some people do study these things in depth.

Have a look at holidayextras - I've found them quite good for suitable choices for hotel plus parking, ot just parking etc. If it was me I'd probably just do an early start from home

Hotel near Tube line. Tube into Heathrow.
I've stayed at Crown Plaza near Hanger Lane when flying early.

£200 pays for a decent taxi journey. Where are you coming in from?
