A group of 5 of us are Running 2 Paris in May.

(Charity team run from Wimbledon to Paris over 4 days)

We require a 9 seater for the 5 of us plus a few other pals for the entire duration. I'm struggling to find a rental company that offers a 9 seater (Merc Vito or similar) for a reasonable cost.

I'm getting quotes for 1500+

Anybody on Pistonehads know of any local companies that may be offering some cheaper rates.

Cheers!

Maybe try somewhere further out of Wimbledon.

Not sure if this helps. (And yes I'm bored at work smile )
May not be the actual dates but gives an idea.

Try Kayak. For 5-8 May it returned three 9 seater vans under £1000. The cheapest was £860.

Crossborder hire might bump up the price however.

Suspect this is a big issue. Probably best hire in Calais for the foreign leg.

As a matter of interest how much are you hoping to raise?

The team requirement is £2000, set by Run2Paris.
But we'll try and get as much as we can. The charities are Parkinsons and ArmedForces.

This looks like a very good option, even with the extra European charge, its looking about £800.
Thanks very much!

It's also worth mentioning the charity element too and seeing if a discount is possible. Good luck! thumbup

Don’t forget to play the sponsorship card, local news etc photos free publicity.
If you don’t ask you don’t get, and it’s unlikely to weaken your position as a renter.
Good luck
