Peage etc Transponders
Discussion
Hi,
I'm keen to get an automated transponder for European toll roads (France, Spain and Italy are the 3 key ones).
I thought I had it cracked with the ULYS tag from Vinci, but they don't seem to be able to take any money from either my First Direct bank account, or a Revolut card - and then when you don't pay the balance IMMEDIATELY, they get very stroppy very quickly.
BIP and Drive looks good - but for some reason I can't sign up.
Has anyone managed to sign up to one of these recently using a UK postal address and a standard UK bank account? Or is there an easy hack to making one of these work - e.g. some card similar to Revolut (or indeed, Revolut itself).
To all of those people who wonder why I'm bothering - we holiday a lot in Europe (with the car) and my wife cannot reach the machines from her seat, so needs to get out of the car.

For Italy we use tolltickets.com (monthly credit card) , as we are no longer Italian Residents I can no longer have a full time telepass, although they were looking at an apple/android app for a pay as you go option, it may have launched now.
Well worth it especially around Milan.

Eurotunnel used to have a discount for, not sure if they still do.
Doubt the Eurotunnel discount will beat the ones most of the tag providers are doing themselves. Sign up with Fulli today and all it will cost you is the €10 tag delivery charge plus the standard toll fees (€0 set-up fee and €0 monthly usage charge for 8 months).Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
