Dubai - hotel recommendation and a weekend to burn
Discussion
Morning all.
Some billy-basics questions to start the week
Travelling for work shortly and rather than passing through Dubai I’ll actually be there for a few working days and then have a weekend to busy myself before moving on.
Workwise I’ll be in the businessy part just north of Palm Jumeirah.
Any recommendations on hotels (or any to avoid?). Not looking to spend megabucks but the rest of the trip is biz class so there is some flexibility.
Also, for the weekend I have to burn, again - anything I really should checkout or avoid?
Cheers

I've stayed at the Oberoi in Business Bay multiple times (assuming that's where you are) and always found it quite nice; it's now an Anatara and I've not been since the rebrand though. Pool is quite peaceful and as it's more of a business hotel, no one ever seems to use it (though at this time of year it might be a bit cold/wet for swimming).
