Crete couple in 50s end April resort hotel recommendations
Hi looking to book for a week towards end April having nether been to Greece before looking for some recommendations for area and Hotel.
All inclusive or just accommodation somewhere relaxing will probably hire car for duration so we can explore the Island.
Have looked on TripAdvisor and reviews for Hotels are all over the place you get 4 or 5 star reviews but also some terrible ones on the same property's.

Do you want a hotel or apartment? Is a resort important?
Personally having travelled to Greece two or three times a year for 30ish years, I would choose a room/apartment.
Also in April you maybe restricted as to which islands you can fly to. It also is a bit cooler so I would be going as South as possible such as Crete.
Largest Greek island, lots to do and see.
We stay here which is ideal for touring the North coast. It’s not flash but spotlessly clean and the host goes out of her way to be helpful.
