I note it's sunshine saturday today with lots of people turning their heads to holidays.

What's everyone got planned for 2023 so far?

We're off to Daios Cove in Crete for our honeymoon in September and weighing up some options for Lapland in December.

Booked 12 days in Mexico this morning for Christmas and new year.

Only 347 days to go, LOL.

Bizarrely it was £700 cheaper than when we last went in 2019, with the dollar as it is I wasn’t expecting that.

Agadir in April for a week, then a 2 week "Land of the Midnight Sun" cruise in August, and we have also bought annual passes to Disneyland Paris, so hoping for a couple of trips there as well.

Booked a week at October half term in a villa near Seville with a big group of friends and planning Christmas and NY in South Africa with my brother.

Otherwise a few boys' weekends and a week possibly camping or staying home in the summer. Plus a week before Easter we were thinking of skiing but given the expense later in the year we may well not.

Currently we're in Barcelona for our "9" later this month and Vienna in July to catch Rammstein.

Probably Oz in April/may; o/h has her big 4-0h and her folks will throw a party for the ages.

Other than that.. we plan to get about a bit. Plan is relocating to Oz in a couple of years and want to see as much of Europe as we can before we go. Long weekends. Hit me.

Iceland for 3 nights, flying out on Thursday, then off to New York for 3 nights.

Think we have a couple of nights in Edinburgh in March planned too.

Still isthumbup

Have to get to Malta this year methinks. And maybe Rome too. And we've never been to Germany as the Mrs has specific hang-ups which I think she's mostly over, although she's also coeliac and i gather it's a terrible place for such.

With a baby due in mid-march there is not much in the diary. Current thoughts (but nothing booked) are:

Weekend away with friends in June/July (leaving baby with in-laws/taking with)
Just me on a 3-4 day golf trip in mid-august
Week or so in the sun, likely Kos or another greek island, in September
Hopefully ~2.5 weeks in South Africa from boxing day

Currently absolutely nothing.......... yikes

We're getting an extension done so holding off any big outlays until that's nearing completion.

I do need to get my finger out and book Lapland for this December. Our kids will be 7 and 4 within the next 6 months, so with the younger one wouldn't really try long haul yet so can't do anything particularly exotic so probably a fortnight somewhere in August. We went to Fuerteventura twice last year including a trip last Easter which was nice time of year to get away when the kids were off.

Feb off to Costa Rica

We'll probably go to Italy for the Misano MotoGP round and have a holiday and head down to Sicily seems to be the idea at the moment.

Winter, probably either US snowboarding or the opposite and go to Thailand for some winter sun.
